Who we are

We are the developers of Plastic SCM, a full version control stack (not a Git variant). We work on the strongest branching and merging you can find, and a core that doesn't cringe with huge binaries and repos. We also develop the GUIs, mergetools and everything needed to give you the full version control stack.

If you want to give it a try, download it from here.

We also code SemanticMerge, and the gmaster Git client.

We're happy to be releasing two new Plastic SCM versions today:

  • A new 4.1 super-stable version is out: 4.1.10.477 including an improvement when dealing with LDAP passwords and a few bugfixes in code reviews, the TeamCity plugin, shelve from GUI and update.
  • The super-new first public 5.0 release under the labs section where you can enjoy the new features of the upcoming Plastic SCM version.

Take a look at the following screenshot. It’s the dashboard of my Splunk installation and is all about having beautiful real-time information about my local Plastic SCM server.

I'm in charge of the Customer Support area.
I deal with complex setups, policies and working methodologies on a daily basis.
Prior to taking full responsibility of support, I worked as software engineer. I have been in charge of load testing for quite some time, so if you want to know how well Plastic compares to SVN or P4 under a really heavy load, I'm your guy.
I like to play with Arduino GPS devices, mountain biking and playing tennis.
You can find me hooked to my iPhone, skate-boarding or learning Korean... and also here @mrcatacroquer.

Sprint 163

Tuesday, September 03, 2013 Pablo Santos 0 Comments

Last Monday 26th we started the Sprint number 163. It’s been already a while since we started using scrum as you can see. We’ve run bi-weekly sprints for years now.

We’d like to share some of the things we’re working on so the Plastic and SemanticMerge users can get a glimpse of what we are doing.

[Update]: my friend Rami Shaft, from Israel, just sent me an email to share some special properties of the number 163:

  • 163 - has a very special property in number theory, there is no explanation for this.
  • 163 is a strong prime in the sense that it is greater than the arithmetic mean of its two neighboring primes.
  • 163 is a lucky prime and a fortunate number.
  • 163 is a strictly non-palindromic number. Given 163, the Mertens function returns 0.
  • 163 is a Heegner number.
  • The square root of 163 occurs in several interesting pieces of mathematics.
  • and more and more...
