Who we are

We are the developers of Plastic SCM, a full version control stack (not a Git variant). We work on the strongest branching and merging you can find, and a core that doesn't cringe with huge binaries and repos. We also develop the GUIs, mergetools and everything needed to give you the full version control stack.

If you want to give it a try, download it from here.

We also code SemanticMerge, and the gmaster Git client.

Plastic SCM 4.1.10.473 (Mendoza) is now available!!

Read here the full list of changes. Download Plastic SCM in the downloads page to install or upgrade your Plastic SCM setup.

Please, continue suggesting and voting new features on the User's Voice or the forum. It's really nice to hear from you.

Some bugfixes reported by our users and some other detected internally (pros of eating your own dog food product...)

New

CLI commands (requested by customer): An internal option has been added to launch an external editor if no comment has been specified. Obviously, this option only makes sense in those commands that support comments. In that case, the environment variable PLASTICEDITOR will contain the path to a text editor. If this variable exists in the system, an instance of the editor will be launched to input the command comments (i.e. the checkin comments).

Task Controls extensions: Support for xlinks has been added to those extensions that support checkin log: Jira, FogBugZ, Rally and OnTime.

Performance

Avoid unneeded connections to repository servers in the profiles management when creating a workspace.

Bug

Update operation in the GUI (reported by customer): The update progress was not showing any update phase or the elements that were copied during the update operation. This is now fixed.

Fast export command: The sequence of two move operations like the following:
  "mv /doc /src" "mv /src /src/src"
,(i.e. The source path is being replaced by another move) was not being properly imported. Fixed now.

Mono 3: opening the "Find matches..." dialog from the Pending changes view caused an error due to resources management. Fixed.

Jenkins plugin (reported by customer): Issue related with the non-ASCII characters included on the date on some cultures such as Korean culture fixed. This fix is workarounded in Plastic SCM side to be available right now, while the fix in the plugin gets integrated in the Jenkins project.

That's all, folks!!
