OpenSolaris and MWF

Finally! We've Plastic SCM 2.7 GUI running on OpenSolaris! You know Plastic GUI is heavily based on Mono WinForms, don't you? Ok, then check what Mono WinForms can do...

Click on the image or here to watch a screencast and see it in action.

Enjoy!

That is very nice. If we could get MonoDevelop to run on OpenSolaris...

I don't think it would be a big issue since MonoDevelop is entirely based on GTK, which should work like a charm on Solaris... Did you try to build it?

I'm more concerned about the debugger, which IMHO really makes the difference

Anyway, we're really close to see Mono as THE multi-platform framework

This is amazing. I've been hesitant about installing OpenSolaris because I was not sure whether I will be able to run Mono. Seeing Plastic run on OpenSolaris is encouraging.

Out of curiosity, why OpenSolaris?

Eddy.

Hi Ed
I wanted to run plastic on solaris and I started with Opensolaris because it is closer to linux in terms of installed packages

Now I want to release the mono binaries on a regular basis to make it simpler to people to use mono and plastic on solaris

That would be really wonderful, that's the main problem that keeps me out of using solaris (well ... with this stupid detail that I don't know on which machine to run it)

That would be fantastic to have solaris & mono, and a big IDE

Champagne!

Pablo,

I can't tell you how helpful it'd be to have an easy way to get Mono for OpenSolaris. It astounds me that Mono doesn't offically support OpenSolaris so this would be super helpful.

Hi,

Did you compile Mono on OpenSolaris and if so can you publish a tutorial or packages?

Cheers,
Anton

Any ETA on releasing mono2 packages for OpenSolaris? Even a test SVR4 format .pkg?

A step-by-step tutorial would also be very helpful to those of us who want to run mono2 on OpenSolaris.

Thanks!
